The 53-year-old Geordie star - who appeared as the narrator on 'Big Brother' from the reality show's launch in 2000 until it came to an end in 2018 - will serve as a voiceover artist on the new Amazon Prime programme and he's excited to be back on television.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I do feel a bit lost without ['Big Brother']. I’ve got no doubt that it’s only a matter of time before it gets recommissioned.

“I’m happy to finally be coming back to the screens for my first ever talent show voiceover.

"Over the years of people- watching on 'Big Brother', I know how to spot a star – someone like Jade Goody – and I think we’re going to find one in this series of 'Now That’s Entertainment.' ”

'X Factor' singer Sam Bailey and former 'Britain's Got Talent' stars George Sampson and Richard Jones have all signed up to be involved on the show.

Last month, the latter revealed he would be taking part as he paid tribute to his late manager and best friend Terry Mills, who sadly died aged 38 in January after battling COVID-19.

The 30-year-old magician said: "I'm doing live magic shows online and appearing soon as the Magic Judge for the new series of Now That’s Entertainment on Amazon Prime.

"It’s the last job that Terry booked me for so I want to do him proud. It’ll be great to see some upcoming magic acts...

"Terry will never be far from my thoughts and an episode of the show will be credited as a tribute to him."
