Coronation Street's Liz McDonald is to become the Rovers Return landlady again.
The brassy blonde - played by Beverley Callard - will find herself back behind the bar of the popular pub as soon as she steps foot back onto the cobbles in October after her son, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) buys the boozer from current owner Stella Price (Michelle Collins).
After Stella decides to put her livelihood up for sale because it holds too many negative memories for her, Steve - who owned the Rovers from 2006 to 2011 - is determined to snap it up, but keeps it quiet from his girlfriend Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh).
A show insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "The McDonalds have always had a soft spot for the Rovers.
"Steve would never have got rid of it if it wasn't for his financial problems when he was wed to Becky.
"So now that he can afford it again, he can't wait to get back in there."
In scenes to air next month, Stella tells her daughter Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and her mother Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) that she's got a buyer for her estate.
Stella says: "I've got someone who's offered the asking price, it's a mystery buyer.
"£160,000 is a fair price, it's a lot of money. We're going to have to start packing today, we move out on Friday."
