Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed what he thinks Sherlock Holmes would be like in the bedroom, in some rather intimate detail.

Speaking to Elle UK in a new interview, he says that Holmes would "probably take a lot of vitamin supplements to make sure that I could perform, and had had my sleep, and probably not had many cigarettes".
"Or drink, for that matter. Not that he does drink" he added.
"And then I would be devastating, I'd know exactly how to please a woman."
"And I'd know exactly how to get that person into it, and get pleasure out of making that person feel pleasure... it would be explosive."
Fans shouldn't get too excited however, as Cumberbatch admits this isn't a scene written into the show: "It's not that kind of a programme, is it?"
Sherlock has a girlfriend in the BBC series played by Yasmine Akram, but Cumberbatch says his character is "asexual for a purpose".
"Not because he doesn't have a sex drive, but because it's suppressed to do his work. Cold showers, looking at a lot of dead bodies, that'll do it for you."
