Ben Shephard feels like he has a "bionic leg" as he recovers from his nasty leg injury.
The 'Good Morning Britain' presenter injured himself badly whilst playing football, rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and tearing his meniscus, and he has been busy working on getting himself better with the help of some new technology.
Speaking in an Instagram story as he demonstrated his new piece of technology, he said: "Very excited. I've got some shiny new kit, a little bit of tech. It's gonna make my muscles work while I'm doing my rehab. Right just trying to stimulate the quad while reducing the swelling around my knee."
He also shared another post of it working and wrote alongside the short video: "Gone full bionic leg, @complex_uk @physiolabtechnologie (sic)"
Meanwhile, Ben previously admitted he is facing a "very slow, long rehab".
Giving an update, his fellow presenter Susanna Reid said: "Ben Shephard is in hospital, recovering from surgery because he ruptured his ACL playing football. He's going to have to undergo rehab to recover. He does say the painkillers are doing their job.
"Oh you are always a consummate broadcaster Ben Shephard, and good luck with your recovery. I know Ben is going to be back in the studio very soon. He watches us still from the hospital bed and I am sure he will be watching the game form there this evening. Lots of love to you Ben, get well soon."
Last month, Ben revealed he had suffered the horrific leg injury while playing football - but nerve damage meant he didn't feel any pain.
He said: "Interestingly, I didn't realise I had done it quite so badly, I carried on playing for 25 minutes before I thought, 'It feels a little bit unstable, perhaps I should stop.'
"It turns out I had severed all the nerves which is why I couldn't feel any pain, and just carried on playing."
