Bear Grylls' friends are too scared to eat at his house.
The 47-year-old adventurer is well-known for eating "bad things" - like goat’s testicles - when he's out in the wild, and his friends are now starting to avoid his home cooking.
He shared: "In the course of trying to stay alive, getting energy and protein, and all of that, I’ve eaten some bad things. Nobody ever comes around for dinner with us any longer if I’m cooking."
Bear has become a global TV star through his wild adventures, but he explains in Netflix's 'You vs. Wild: Out Cold' that he doesn't feel like an inspiration.
Instead, he feels like he's doing the only job he's suitable for.
Bear said, according to The Sun newspaper: "I don’t feel like an inspiration. I feel like somebody who has a job that is the only job I could do in this life."
Meanwhile, Bear previously claimed that schools are guilty of putting too much emphasis on exam results and consequently, they neglect to teach children all-important life skills.
The TV star - who has Marmaduke, 15, and Huckleberry, 12 - said: "I want my kids to be equipped for life and life is not a sprint to get to the top at 18. It's a long haul. Life kicks the s*** out of you and it rewards the persistent."
Bear also insisted that schools have a responsibility to empower their pupils to deal with the stresses of real life.
He explained: "Schools have got to empower kids for life, rather than getting to a certain level on a league table.
"The brain surgeons, the high achievers in life aren't always the best at school, they are just determined to get there. I bet that brain surgeon is the guy who got Bs and Cs at A-Level."
