Dannii Minogue is to host a second series of BBC dating show I Kissed A Boy

The BBC has confirmed pop star Dannii Minogue will return to host the BBC Three and iPlayer series - the UK's first gay dating show - and former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Layton Williams, who voices the programme, is also returning.

Dannii said: "I am so excited that I’ll be back in Italy to play cupid.

"I can’t wait to meet the next cast when the Masseria doors open ... there are so many diverse and important stories yet to tell.

"And be sure that I’ll have the party started for a wonderful summer of love."

The show sees 10 singles, who are matched up, meet for the first time ... with a kiss, which immediately tests out their chemistry.

Nasfim Haque, Head of Content for BBC Three, said: "I am thrilled to have this innovative, ground-breaking format return to BBC Three.

"I Kissed A Boy’s success is testament to the channel’s unwavering dedication to producing content that both entertains and educates."

Since launching last year, 'I Kissed A Boy' has been praised for its commitment to diversity and LGBTQ+ representation.

The show is also award-winning, after the first series scooped the Screen Moment Of The Year prize at the Pink News Awards, and Best Multichannel Programme gong at the Broadcast Awards.

Transmission details for the upcoming 10-episode season will be announced in due course.

'I Kissed A Boy' series one is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer, and 'I Kissed A Girl' is currently airing on BBC Three and iPlayer.
