'BBC Breakfast' star Dan Walker gets bombarded with photos of breakfasts every weekend after launching an "egg club".
The 41-year-old television presenter says his Twitter feed is filled with poached egg snaps after he claimed to know the way to make them perfectly.
Speaking on the Series Linked TV podcast, he explained: "It started as a stupid daft thing, I don't know quite now how it developed but essentially somebody asked me for a cook book for a 'perfect egg recipe'.
"And I told them I'd been perfecting it for years. It sort of involves me rolling the egg around in the shell in a shallow pan.
"Then, cracking it back into that shell and timing it for a specific amount of time. With no vinegar, no oil, no nothing. Then you get the perfect egg. And then I put this on twitter foolishly."
The television star said after he then put the pictures on his social media page fans were desperate to be good enough cooks so that they could get into his "Egg Club."
He added: "And then all of a sudden people started sending me their eggs, that they were cooking every Saturday and Sunday. And then I thought, I'll just be a bit daft and say 'No, no access to egg club, that's rubbish, toast is over cooked', or 'too much butter'.
"And then people started angry that I wasn't letting in Egg Club. And then, I let somebody in and it just sort of snowballed. And most weekends I get about 300 egg pictures sent to me, with people saying 'Can I get into Egg Club?'.
"Someone's even got a T-shirt that says the number. I think there's 16 members of Egg Club. There's a guy who looks after the members and he says there's 16 members and they've got T-shirts."
