The UK premiere date for the second season of Bates Motel has been revealed by Universal UK.

New episodes begin from Wednesday, April 2 at 9pm on the Universal UK channel, and will follow from the first season's dramatic cliff hanger.

Promised to be even bigger and more dramatic than its first run, White Pine Bay becomes a more dangerous place to live day by day.

Norman's blackouts continue and his intrigue builds as to his awareness of his own self.

A deadly war between two families sees Dylan caught in the cross fire, and Norma worries that road plans could scupper the thriving business at the motel.

Meanwhile, the complex and complicated relationship between Norman and mother Norma continues to develop at the centre of everything, and the two grow closer than ever as times get tougher.

Bates Motel is being shown from the very beginning all week from March 10 to March 14 on Universal UK.
