Ed Balls is reportedly being lined up for the 'Strictly Come Dancing' tour.
The 49-year-old politician was given the boot from the ballroom and latin competition in Sunday (27.11.16) night's show but, despite his shock exit, it may not be the last time fans see him in sequins as producers are trying to persuade him to take part in the live production when it travels the UK next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ed wants to be on the tour and is currently negotiating his price. He has loved his 'Strictly...' experience and would like it to continue. He's entertained the nation with his routines and played along with it. Everyone's seen a different side to him and he's gone from getting no votes as a politician to the nation backing him week after week. Ed's looking at his diary because he also has lecture commitments and other work to do, but everyone's hopeful he will sign up."
And Ed won't be alone as the former MP will be joined on the 10th anniversary tour by Daisy Lowe, Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp.
It's also thought Ore Oduba and Judge Rinder - who are currently still in the competition - will also take part in tour but that's yet to be confirmed.
The tour will kick off in Birmingham on January 20 and visit Newcastle, Sheffield, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool and London.
Ed constantly found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard but managed to slip through to the next round every week because the public loved him.
However, Ed believes he has his professional partner Katya Jones to thank for his longevity in the competition because her routines - such as their salsa to 'Gangnam Style' - provided viewers with entertainment.
He said: "I was not the best dancer at the beginning - I was the worst dancer. I've never done it before. I wasn't the youngest, but we've tried really hard. We're trying to get better every week and we're trying to entertain. Katya's choreography is fantastic."
