Your Honor will return for second season
Bryan Cranston will be returning to his role of Michael Desiato in Your Honor, as Showtime this week revealed they had renewed the series for a second season, after their initial order of 10 episodes in what was suspected to be a limited run.
Showtime President of Entertainment, Gary Levine explained: "We were blown away by Your Honor... by the power of Peter’s [Moffat, showrunner and executive producer] storytelling, by the depth of Bryan's performance, and by the overwhelming reaction from our subscribers who watched in record numbers. Imagine our delight when we learned that Peter believed he had more story to tell and Bryan felt he had more depths to plumb. So, along with its millions of fans, I am gleefully shouting, 'Encore!'"
Dexter reboot timeline revealed
The Dexter reboot is now right around the corner and, it's been revealed that the episodes and events we see take place in the revival season will take place over the course of two weeks. With original showrunner Clyde Phillips back for the first time since the fourth season, we're looking forward to seeing what he's got up his sleeves in New Blood.
Michael C. Hall is back in the titular role of the anti-hero, with John Lithgow and Jennifer Carpenter also back to reprise their original roles. Jack Alcott will play Dexter's son Harrison. With redemption on the line after a much-maligned final season, all eyes are on the series to see if it can right the wrongs of its past.
Nine Perfect Strangers makes history on Hulu
The arrival of Nine Perfect Strangers on Hulu in the United States was one of the most highly-anticipated of all time and, the proof is clearly in the pudding. The streaming service have now announced that the miniseries is the most-viewed premiere the platform has ever seen.
With the first four episodes having been revealed, fans have been enjoying an all-star cast coming together that includes Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving and Manny Jacinto. We can't wait to see how this mysterious thriller concludes! Available to watch on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
Bigger special effects promised in The Boys Season 3
The Boys will soon be returning for its third season, where actor Jensen Ackles will join proceedings as the chaotic Soldier Boy. Though much of the details surrounding the upcoming narrative are being kept tightly under wraps, we have learned that we can expect some gorgeous visuals.
Speaking in an interview with The Wrap, visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet has said that the VFX in Season 3 will be "bigger" but consistent with the tone and guidelines "set by the creators of the series”. Following two hugely successful seasons, we can’t wait to see what the creative team have got waiting for us this time around!
The Umbrella Academy Season 3 nearly done filming
Elliot Page has got fans of The Umbrella Academy excited, after taking to Instagram and sharing a selfie of himself which included a caption that suggested filming on the show's third season was “almost done”.
Though no specifics were given, this does mean that the next couple of months may see the first release of a teaser trailer and we may even be given an official return date for the series to come back to its streaming platform home, Netflix. Bring it on!
