Ashley Cain's grandmother has died.
The ‘Ex on the Beach’ star - whose eight-month daughter and “little angel” Azaylia passed away in April from leukaemia, after a five-month fight - discovered the “devastating news” that his paternal grandma died while he was filming ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 31-year-old footballer-turned-reality TV star wrote on Instagram: “While I was away I got the devastating news that my Grandma had sadly passed away and joined the angels in paradise. Grandma Cain you created a great, strong, successful and respectful family from nothing but hard work, tough love and good blood. You will be missed forever by us all. Please now look after my little angel in heaven as I know she will be excited to see you again! (sic)”
The former Coventry City footballer previously admitted he was going to channel his pain to “push” him to do “some amazing things”.
In July, he wrote on Instagram: “My journey now is about strength, being a good person and doing good things. I want to stand up to my pain, work through it and use it to push me to achieve some amazing things in this world. I hope my path can motivate, inspire and help others, showing that you can be strong enough to overcome any and all obstacles to become who you want to and are supposed to be in life, no matter what it throws at you. Do something today that will make you better tomorrow and remember - You're never too important to be nice to people. Compliment, comfort, encourage and inspire! (sic)"
