Asanda admits her run on 'Britain's Got Talent' inspired her to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The talented singer appeared on the 2013 series of the popular ITV show aged 11, and she's admitted that her on-screen experience has fueled her desire to represent her country at the iconic event, which is being staged in Portugal in May.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Asanda - who is competing in a televised show that will determined who will represent the UK at Eurovision - explained: "Definitely [appearing on 'Britain's Got Talent' sparked my interest]. If it has to do with singing and getting on stage, definitely."
Asanda is to perform her track 'Legends' on the upcoming TV show, which is being co-presented by Mel Giedroyc.
And the teenage singer has revealed that her tune makes her feel "empowered".
She shared: "I feel empowered, I feel energetic and I just feel crazy - really. Literally."
Asanda has been busily preparing for her upcoming TV appearance, and revealed that she'll be doing her best to please the watching public.
Looking forward to her appearance on 'Eurovision: You Decide', Asanda explained: "You'll see a lot of energy, you'll see a lot. That's what the fans want, so I have to bring it. That's what the fans want."
Asked why the fans should vote for Asanda over her rivals, she added: "I definitely feel like the song is very motivational for any age - you don't have to be my age.
"You can still be 500 and know that everyone has a time and a purpose in life to make it, and you're a legend.
"It doesn't have to be singing. You could be a bus driver, you're still a legend. If you're enjoying doing what you're doing, no one can stop you."
