Known to British television audiences as Holby City's Antoine Malick up until his leaving the series in 2013, Jimmy Akingbola has had a number of roles in his time and can now add Baron Blitzkrieg to the list.

Joining Arrow's fourth season, Akingbola will step into the shoes of the DC Comics supervillain according to a report from Deadline, in a recurring role throughout the new season.
The comics see Baron lead a criminal organisation called Shadowspire through clashes with big names such as Wonder Woman and Superman, and though those two won't be appearing on Arrow, the villain will still be portrayed in flashbacks as a terrifying opponent.
At this point it's unclear whether or not Baron's supernatural abilities such as enhanced strength, agility and endurance as well as heat vision and flight will be embedded within the character, but it's potential with the season's alleged new focus on the mystical arts.
Arrow season 4 returns to American screens on The CW on October 7.
