The 40-year-old adventurer was recently axed from 'SAS: Who Dares Wins' over his "personal conduct", and Ant feels he's simply too strong-willed for Channel 4 bosses.
Asked about being let go from the hit show, Ant said: "I'm too hot to handle for the UK."
Ant starred as the chief instructor on 'SAS: Who Dares Wins', before being dropped by Channel 4 earlier this month.
And the TV star has admitted his relationship with the broadcaster ended "sourly".
He explained on 'The Kyle and Jackie O Show': "With the UK version, once that final string pinged from my grasp and it was being controlled by health and safety, and it's being controlled by the production, then yeah we butted heads a bit and we parted ways a bit sourly."
Ant thinks Channel 4 was trying to dilute his personality and the time had come for him to leave the programme.
He reflected: "The moment my work starts to get diluted, and I don't stay true to who I am and true to what the course is about, then it's time for me to move on."
But Ant remains an integral part of 'SAS Australia' and he can't wait to make another series Down Under.
He said: "Channel Seven straight away were like, 'We really hope you're coming back to Australia'. Of course I am. Listen, I built this show.
"I wrote it on the back of a cigarette packet six/ seven years ago. So I am coming back. I am still the chief instructor."
Ant's departure from the UK version of the show was confirmed in early March, with Channel 4 citing his "personal conduct" as the reason.
The broadcaster said at the time: "Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of 'SAS: Who Dares Wins'.
"Following a number of discussions, Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again."
