Anne Kirkbride will tonight be honoured in a special tribute at the National Television Awards.
The much-loved Coronation Street actress who played Deirdre Barlow in the soap passed away following an illness on Monday, January 19, and the annual ceremony at London's O2 Arena will honour the star.
On-screen husband Ken Barlow - played by William Roache - is expected to lead the tribute to Anne and reminisce on his memories of her, whilst other long-term co-stars including Barbara Knox (Rita Tanner) are also to attend.
New details surrounding Anne's death suggest that she rejected chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, which caused the disease to spread to her brain.
Anne's family are yet to comment on her cause of death however, simply sharing a statement that her husband David Beckett was "heartbroken" following the loss.
