Anne Hegerty says the rice and beans diet on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' went "straight through" her.
The 60-year-old television star - best known as The Governess on ITV quiz show 'The Chase' - has admitted that the jungle diet was too much for her digestive system when she was on the hit reality show.
She spoke to 'This Morning' today (06.12.18) and said: "The trouble is really, is that there is no salt. About a week ago, my digestive system just said to me 'I'm sorry I'm not having any more rice without beans'.
"I'll eat beans, I'll eat rice with beans, but I'm having no more rice because it's just going straight through. So since then I've not had rice on its own."
Anne has become the fifth celebrity to leave the jungle after she failed to win enough votes from the public to keep her in the competition.
The quiz personality has been booted off the show along with television veteran Noel Edmonds, 'Hollyoaks' star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, 'Coronation Street' actress Sair Khan and 'EastEnders' actress Rita Simons.
Anne said while she is glad to have left the show because she had been struggling with camp life, the experience was definitely worthwhile because of her "brilliant" campmates who she is determined to stay in touch with.
She admitted: "No, I wanted to be voted off to put it brutally. I was having the most brilliant time - but what was most brilliant about it was my campmates and I will see them again."
Now just six celebrities - Harry Redknapp, Nick Knowles, Fleur East, Emily Atack, James McVey, and John Barrowman - are left battling it out for the chance to be named King or Queen of the Jungle during Sunday's (09.12.18) final.
