Amy Willerton's dad insists Joey Essex is too "stupid" to date his daughter.
Bruce Willerton has admitted he is "surprised" the former Miss Universe Great Britain has been talking to the 'Only Way is Essex' hunk so much during their time on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' because she usually goes for more intelligent men.
He said: "He can't be as stupid as that, can he? Can he? Amy usually goes for intellectuals. I'm surprised she's spending so much time with this guy.
"Joey is a lovely guy. He's welcome to pop round for a cuppa. That's fine, but nothing more."
Joey's sister Frankie Essex has also voiced her concerns about a romance sparking up between the jungle pair, insisting blonde stunner Amy is too dull for her brother.
She told heat magazine: "I don't know if he's out there for a romance. He knows Amy really well.
"She's a lovely girl, but I don't think she's for Joey. She's really boring."
However, Joey's dad is keen for his son to strike up a romance with Amy and advised his son to "steam in there".
Joey has already been the subject of several comical moments on this year's 'I'm A Celebrity', including making up new words, such as 'confrontate', and mistaking a cabbage for a lettuce.
Despite his comical comments, the 'TOWIE' hunk is clear favourite to win the series and is 2/5 with bookmakers Paddy Power to be named King of the Jungle.
He is also 6/5 to have his own reality TV show following his time on 'I'm A Celebrity', while it is 4/1 that both he and Amy will star in their own programme and 8/1 they will marry each other or have a child together by the end of 2020.
