The 36-year-old actress appeared on the BBC culinary series and ended up becoming something of a mentor to former 'Love Island' star Luca, 24, as she noted that they formed an "unlikely friendship" on the set of the show.
She said: I mothered him like an idiot. I was crying when he was getting good feedback. That one was a really unlikely friendship – we really got on. He took the mick out of me the whole time but he was the energy I needed.
The 'Emmerdale' actress was also joined by opera singer Wynne Evans - who is best known for starring in the GoCompare adverts - and he joked that reality star Luca is "like a child" and despite being the oldest, he ended up "reverting" back to being a child when he was around him.
He said: "Luca’s like a child, and I was the oldest in the semi-finals, but he did make me laugh! I just revert back to being a child when I’m around him!"
Luca - who coupled up with Gemma Owen on 'Love Island' - explained that the "highest moment" was when he first walked onto the set with "so many talented people" when he had simply spent the last two months on a beach.
He said: "The highest moment was when 'MasterChef' wanted me on, and then walking in that room with so many talented people after I’ve just laid on a beach for the last eight weeks! It’s a reality check. I’m really happy to be in the presence of such talented people.”
The trio is the last three from the 20 celebrities who started out on this year’s BBC show, having fought off competition from the likes of 90s pop star Sam Fox, drag queen Cheryl Hole, former 'Loose Women' panellist Jamelia, and The Wanted singer Max George.
The final of 'Celebrity MasterChef' 2023 airs on BBC One on Friday 8 September at 9pm.
