Jessica Lange will return
Ryan Murphy yesterday confirmed that the fourth season of American Horror Story is to have a 'freak show' theme.
It was earlier reported that one of the show's writers Douglas Petrie let slip the show would be set in a carnival.
"It doesn't have a title, but that's the idea. Very roughly, that's the idea." he said during a podcast for Nerdist.
The news comes after Ryan Murphy earlier revealed the show is to take place in the 1950s, with cast members taking on accents we haven't seen from them before.
EW later 'uncovered' new details about the season.
According to them, it will be set in Jupiet, Florida and follow Jessica Lange in the role of a German ex-pat, managing one of America's last freak shows.
Her group of 'unusuals' will consist of former castmates Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Frances Conroy - all of which will play performers that Lange rescued.
Emma Roberts and Denis O'Hare are also in talks to return, as Freak Show tracks the group going to extreme lengths to keep their business around.
Freak Show is expected to premiere in October, and will be Jessica Lange's final American Horror Story season.
