Deadline have this week reported that Billie Lourd has joined the cast of American Horror Story season 7. Though nothing concrete has been detailed about her role, she’s expected to now star alongside returning AHS alum Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, along with fellow newbie, Billy Eichner.

As is always the case with Horror Story, details surrounding the story and plot of the seventh season are being kept closely under wraps, with creator Ryan Murphy only revealing that the episodes would kick off on the dawn of election night, when it was confirmed Donald Trump would be the 45th President of the United States.

Murphy has also confirmed that this won’t be the focus of the series, and that it will simply serve as a launching pad for the season. Executive producer Tim Minear has said the concept behind the season is “completely bats”, so we know we’re in for something special.

The casting comes after Lourd starred in Ryan Murphy’s horror-comedy anthology series Scream Queens, where she made her acting debut as Chanel #3. She’ll next be seen in the film Billionaire Boys Club and will be returning as Lieutenant Connix in the upcoming flick Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
