President of the Parents Television Council, Tim Winter has spoken out about Ryan Murphy's latest season of American Horror Story: Hotel, branding some of the scenes in the opening episode "the most vile and shocking content I've ever seen on TV. Ever."
He continues: "Most Americans have no idea this is primetime fare on advertiser-supported basic cable. And everyone is paying for it as part of their programme bundle."
P.T.C. also noted that the show contains an "unbelievably explicit combination of sex and violence."
Winter also slammed Murphy's other horror series Scream Queens, writing: "The programme features graphic decapitations and discussions of necrophilia in the family hour... all sponsored by McDonald's."
The prolific censorship group have in the past attempted to bring down other popular television shows and even celebrities, with Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane on the receiving end of emails from the team.
MacFarlane said: "That's like getting hate mail from Hitler. They're literally terrible human beings. I've read their newsletter, I've visited their website, and they're just rotten to the core. For an organisation that prides itself on Christian values - I mean, I'm an atheist, so what do I know? - they spend their entire day hating people."
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres tonight (October 20) in the UK at 10pm on FOX.
