Rose Siggins, who starred in the fourth season of American Horror Story, has died aged 43.

Co-stars Sarah Paulson, Mat Fraser, Denis O'Hare and Gabourey Sidibe have all tweeted their sadness following the news.

TMZ reports claim that Siggins died on December 12 in a Denver hospital, after contracting an infection during kidney stone surgery.

Since birth, the actress had endured kidney and pancreas problems because of her genetic disorder sacral agenesis, affecting the lower spine. It also meant she had to have her legs amputated aged just two.
