Amber Davies had an operation to have her ears pinned back before starring in new West End musical '9 to 5'.
The former 'Love Island' contestant has always been insecure about her stick out ears and so decided to get them corrected before embarking on her eight shows a week role as Judy Bernly in the office story, which is based on the 1980 film of the same name which starred Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin.
Speaking in new ITVBe reality series 'Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5' - in which Amber meets country legend Dolly - she says: "I will probably be criticised for getting it [the surgery] done because people will be like, 'Oh, you're promoting plastic surgery.' But I'm not promoting anything. It's my own insecurity. And it is something I've wanted to have done for ages. I hate my ears. My ears have knocked my confidence for longer than I can remember.
"I know there are 1000-plus people looking at me on stage for eight shows a week. It was just that insecurity I wanted to get rid of. I've never had any surgery done before, so I'm terrified to have this done. But I know it's the right thing for me."
On the programme, Amber also admits she was left "exhausted" with the tough rehearsal schedule for '9 to 5'
The reality star made her West End debut in the much-anticipated comedy musical last month but viewers will see her at her "lowest" point because she doubted if she could keep up with the rigorous rehearsal schedule ahead of the opening.
She says: "On this show you see the lowest of the low. It was exhausting at times. Sometimes I'd think, 'I can't do this.' But I've got such amazing people around me and that's what I needed. I needed people to believe in me."
'Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5' airs on ITVBe on Wednesday night (27.02.19) at 9pm.
