Amanda Holden was left red face during the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions after she failed to recognise a magician she had booked for her daughter's birthday.
The 47-year-old television judge was left perplexed on the show when Allin - who uses the stage name Professor Strange - turned up to try his luck on the programme and she failed to realise that she'd hired him appear to appear at Hollie's party.
The blonde beauty asked the performer how long he'd been a magician for, to which he replied: "Quite a while Amanda. Have a look at me."
Fellow judge Simon Cowell butted in and asked if they'd met before and Allin said: "We have, at your daughter's birthday party. I was the magician."
Realising her mistake, Amanda - who has daughters Hollie, six, and Lexi, 12, with husband Chris Hughes, screeched: "God, I don't remember that!"
David Walliams then quipped: "It's good she remembers, isn't it?"
Despite their past connection, Allin - who has claimed he's "perfect for holiday parks, family festivals and theatre performances" - was given the boot by all four judges.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "He just wasn't very good. "Amanda managed to stick it out the longest after trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but Simon, David and Alesha [Dixon] were having none of it.
"Simon did concede his son Eric might quite like his act, though, and joked about booking him for his next birthday."
An insider added: "He performed in a different outfit at Hollie's birthday party. That's why she didn't recognise him."
'Britain's Got Talent' will return to screens tonight (19.05.18) on ITV.
