The 50-year-old star will reveal her "unique relationship" with her grandmother, Myrtle, in her upcoming E4 documentary-style programme, 'No Holden Back'.

She said: "I’m delighted that everyone is finally going to meet my nan, the apple never falls far from my tree and in this series, she will certainly be keeping me on my toes."

Myrtle is hoping that her time in the spotlight might lead to her meeting 'Tipping Point' presenter Ben Shephard.

A spokesperson on behalf of Myrtle said: “I have no comment, apart from I’m really hoping being on TV might mean I can finally meet my favourite young man, Ben Shephard.”

Amanda has been busy filming the show after she first hinted about the project last month saying she was going “back to her roots".

A source revealed earlier this month: "This is the first time Amanda has worked with Channel 4.

"It’s a top-secret brand new show format and will take Amanda back to her TV roots, having started out on shows like 'Kiss Me Kate', 'Hearts and Bones' and 'Cutting It' in the Nineties.

"Everyone wants a piece of Amanda right now. She’s become the golden girl of TV and radio over the last 12 months.

"Amanda has never wanted a handcuffs deal from any one TV channel and it’s paid off because she’s going to be the first person to work across all three major UK channels."

Her decision to sign up for the show - which will also air on Channel 4 - means she will have programmes on three major channels, including ITV’s 'Britain’s Got Talent' and BBC One’s 'I Can See Your Voice'.

Channel 4 Commissioning Editor, Steven Handley added: “Amanda is one of the UK’s most well-known stars and we are thrilled to get insight into her life with her nan.”
