Aljaz Skorjanec says isolating from his wife Janette Manrara is a "small sacrifice" to make for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The new series of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition launched over the weekend, and the pros and their celebrity partners have formed support bubbles, with one half of the household living alone and the other half can remain with their household.
Appearing on ITV's 'Lorraine' via video link on Wednesday (21.10.20), he said: "I think it was a small sacrifice that most of us pros had to make. Some have kids that they're not gonna see for a while.
"We've been together for over 10 years. As she would say - that wasn't my words - but sometimes it's good not to see me for a little while."
Aljaz - is partnered with radio DJ Clara Amfo this year - also admitted everyone will be rallying together to create an atmosphere this year, with the live audience vastly reduced amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He added: "Because we've always been supportive to each other, the pros and the couples, we always cheer each other on.
"I think we're going to have to do even more of that this year, just to keep the atmosphere in the studio. I think there is going to be some audience, but not as much as there would normally be."
However, Aljaz - whose wife Janette has been paired with HRVY on the show - is sure the stars will still get a feel of the real 'Strictly' experience.
He added: "I think that every single celebrity is going to get a true taste of 'Strictly'.
"It was special to film the launch show. I think we all got a bit emotional when the whole thing was done.
"It's really, really nice that the show is going ahead, and I think we're all just super excited."
