Alexandra Burke believes she received a lot of criticism when she was on 'Strictly Come Dancing' people the British public mistook her confidence for arrogance.

The 29-year-old singer dazzled the judges on the ballroom show dancing her way to the final with her professional partner Gorka Marquez.
However, her 'Strictly' journey was blighted by rumours that she had fallen out with other contestants behind the scenes and she was trolled by online bullies and she thinks it's because viewers mistook her determination to do well with over-confidence about her abilities.
Alexandra - whose mother, Soul II Soul singer Melissa Bell, died just before she was starting on the show - told BBC news: "I find it bizarre, because women shouldn't feel that if they come across as too confident it can be mistaken for arrogance. That's a massive problem we have over here [In Britain] ... I've always been quite sad about how that came across with some people and what they would say on Twitter. But at the same time, people around me, that know me well enough, know what I'm like and how much effort I put into everything."
However, Alexandra refused to let the negativity affect her and made sure she got "lost in a little bubble" as she prepared for her Saturday night performances.
The 'Bad Boys' singer - who was crowned the winner of 'The X Factor' in 2008 - added: "I wanted to learn Latin and ballroom because I've never done it before ... if you get a challenge, why not try your best to execute it? It's a shame that some people mistook that determination and that will to want to do well, which everyone should have in life by the way, for arrogance or anything other than what it was.
Alexandra has just released her third studio album 'The Truth Is', which features 'Say We'll Meet Again', a duet with Boyzone star Ronan Keating.
