Alex Short has been fired on 'The Apprentice'.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur - who runs his own commercial cleaning company - has had his dreams of being Lord Sugar’s next business partner cut short after he was axed from the BBC show.
During the latest episode, Lord Sugar asked the candidates to fish for their dinner and then design a recipe to coincide with their catch.
However, Lord Sugar was ultimately underwhelmed by the efforts of Alex, who forgot to sell his king crab to the buyers.
The mogul turned to the young business owner and said: "After your catch of the day, here is my dispatch of the day: Alex you’re fired."
Alex used to love fish and chips, but admitted his experience on the show has changed his mind forever.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It’s ruined it completely for me. I used to love monk fish but I can’t even look at it anymore ... it’s changed the whole aspect of it now."
Despite his early exit, Alex managed to see the funny side of his elimination.
He said: "You have to come away from it looking at the funny side of things because you cannot take life way too seriously.
"We're in the process to take it seriously but sometimes the outcomes do not come out how we want them to be.
"When that happens you have to look at the funny side, especially with the tooth brush, the logo, you still have to take pride in the product or believe in it as much as you can."
