Alex Scott feels "emotional" about her Red Nose Day challenge.
The 36-year-old TV presenter will captain a team in the Red Nose And Spoon Race, a three-day hike that also involves balancing one of Comic Relief’s iconic red noses on a spoon.
She told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: “I am feeling so emotional. I am doing it alongside two amazing team members, who have really struggled with their mental health. To see what it means to them is so special and I am extra nervous now, as I cannot let them down.
“That said, my inner competitive streak is still there, and I’m going for the win. After all, is there anything better than getting one over an ex-Spurs player?”
The former Arsenal player will go head-to-head with former soccer star Jermaine Jenas, who will captain the rival team over the 62-mile hike.
Gordon Ramsay is also set to hit the screens to raise money for Comic Relief, with the TV chef hosting a special episode of 'Bank Balance' with Gino D'Acampo and his son Luciano.
He said: "The amazing work that Comic Relief does is truly important. Never has it been more relevant to support those who need help, both here in the UK and internationally too.
""It was great fun to have Gino and Luciano on the show, clearly Luci gets his brains and his beauty from his Mum, let me tell you that boy is smart!”
And Gino - who has appeared alongside Gordon and 'First Dates' star Fred Sirieix on 'Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip' - is excited to take part.
He added: "I am so delighted to be working with 'Comic Relief'. Their work has been so incredible, important and worthwhile and it’s a genuine honour to be involved.
"On top of that I get to see what the game show host competition looks like up close and am pleased to announce I am not worried!”
