Alex Reid admits he is "happy to boast" about great he is.
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner - the ex-husband of reality TV star Katie Price - admits he loves himself and is quite happy to tell people just how much adulation he feels for himself when he looks in the mirror.
Speaking on tonight's (15.10.13) 'Love Gods' instalment of TLC show 'Superstars and Superfans', he says: "Hello, I'm Alex Reid and if you don't know who I am, what planet have you been on? The One, the only, Alex Reid and I love myself. I do love myself actually.
"Alex Reid is a cool guy so I'm happy to boast. I'm happy to boast about how great Alex Reid is. Because I am Alex Reid and I love Alex Reid.
"I'm happy to be a celebrity to be celebrated for having accomplished something. But being famous for being famous sake has never appealed to me. I don't want to be in all those glossy magazines. I want to accomplish something, do something, and climb Mount Everest."
The 38-year-old cage fighter admits he is "addicted" to his celebrity status and loves it when he gets recognised.
He adds: "One of the reasons I used to fight/compete was for the glory, the adulation, the cheer of the crowd.
"This is the party of celebrity that my ego loves and is addictive and I can see is not necessarily healthy. That's a hunger, like a vampire and I need the love.
"Someone noticed me at a football game and said, 'That's Alex Reid,' and then everyone turned around and stopped the football game and started singing the 'Rocky' music and I had the most amazing feeling in the world. That feeling is a drug, that's addictive."
Speaking after the show, on which he dresses as a superhero with his superfan Jack Fletcher, he added: "I love my fans. I'm honoured to be put on a pedestal, when I am no different or special from anyone else.
"I count my lucky stars and want to put back the fortune I have taken out to be good.
"I'm simply a people's person, no airs or graces, I am Alex Reid."
'Superstars and Superfans' airs Tuesdays at 10pm on TLC.
