Alex Jones says her 'Strictly Come Dancing' stint was a "shambles".
The 'One Show' host appeared on the BBC One latin and ballroom show in 2011, where she was partnered with James Jordan and managed to make it all the way to semi-final week.
Alex was discussing guest Katie Derham's time in the dancing competition, and was caught off guard when the presenter complimented her own stint on the programme.
However, Alex was less complimentary about her performance, dubbing it a "shambles".
She told Katie and fellow host Ronan Keating: "Oh not mine. Mine was a shambles."
Whilst Alex admitted her 'Strictly' stint didn't go to plan, she insists she will never take her job on 'The One Show' for "granted", which she has been hosting since 2010.
Alex - who is expecting a baby - says she still gets nervous about taking time off from the programme because she loves her job so much and doesn't like to be away from the sofa for too long.
She said: "Nobody's completely finally fine with taking time off, are they? If you really enjoy and respect the job you do and you've worked really hard to get to where you are, there's always going to be a small part of you that doesn't want to let go. I think that's quite healthy as well because it means you're not taking anything for granted. I definitely never would. It's a very sought-after job."
Alex now presents 'The One Show' alternately with co-hosts Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas following Matt Baker's departure in early 2020 and she loves working with them.
She said: "I suppose it happened by accident. I've really loved being on the show in the last year, more than other, which is an odd thing to say. The show has become more light-hearted, not so scripted. And it's lovely now we've got Ronan and Jermaine because it was a bit Tinder-y for a while with people in and out. We've all got children the same age and they're really nice guys."
