Alex Jones will make a surprise return to 'The One Show' tonight (17.12.21).
The 44-year-old star has been away from the BBC One programme on maternity leave, after welcoming her third child, Annie, into the world in August, but she will be back on the sofa on Friday alongside Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating for the show's last episode before the Christmas break.
Speaking on last night's (16.12.21) episode, Ronan said: "Last show of the year tomorrow. Alex Jones will be back.
"She'll be joining myself and JJ to talk 'Strictly' ahead of this weekend's final."
Alex and her husband Charlie Thomson welcomed daughter Annie into the world on August 21st.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: "We have some news.........Our beautiful daughter came safely into the world on Saturday afternoon 21.08.21. Tiny, but perfectly formed we are all beyond happy and besotted by her, especially Ted and Kit. (sic)"
Alex admitted it was "the best" watching her and Charlie's sons, Teddy, four, and Kit, two, play with their newborn sister.
She wrote: "Watching them with their brand new little sister is just the best and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have the 3 of them and to be a family of 5. It still doesn’t feel real!!! Thank you to everyone at the Queen Charlotte hospital for all your support again, especially super midwife Audrey. Name will be incoming soon xx (sic)"
Alex revealed live on 'The One Show' in March that she was expecting her third child.
She said during the show: "I feel really nervous all of a sudden! It just seems like a good time to share some news with everybody, and the crew in the studio for the first time.
"Lockdown has been anything but predictable and we’ve had some really unexpected news … baby number three is on the way!"
