Alex Jones felt "a little bit anxious" over her 'The One Show' return following maternity leave.
The 44-year-old TV presenter welcomed her daughter Annie into the world in August with husband Charlie Thomson, but she made her return to the BBC One programme on Tuesday (04.01.22) alongside co-presenter Jermaine Jenas, and admitted she is trying to be "more relaxed" in 2022.
Speaking to Jermaine about her new year’s resolutions, she said: "Mine, Jermaine, is to be a little bit more relaxed, so today is my first official day back from maternity.
"My husband Charlie on paternity and I need to learn to let go a bit of things at home. Let him do it his way. Tricky."
Jermaine replied: "You don’t seem too happy with Charlie."
To which Alex replied: "It's all good. A little bit anxious, but yeah it’s fine."
After giving birth to her daughter in August, Alex made an appearance to reveal her baby girl’s name.
She said: "With a name, today was the deadline, because I thought, 'Right, we shall just tell everyone what it is,' so we were between two but then we finally decided on one, so we rang Charlie's parents who are in Auckland in New Zealand, and they're in lockdown.
"They can't be over here, sadly, so rang them last night which is this morning and we didn't get an answer.
"So, I have just spoke to Charlie and he said that he doesn't think we can tell everybody until mum and dad know as the grandparents already cannot be here to meet her, so we are going to have to ring her tonight.
"The thing is that I am now building it up and it is a very simple, kind of classic name, but I think it is only fair that we tell granny and grandad first."
Alex later revealed to everyone that her daughter’s name was Annie and that she was “besotted” with her bundle of joy.
