Alex George is set to be godfather to Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer's first child.
The 27-year-old doctor has asked his former 'Love Island' co-stars - who triumphed on the last series - if he can take on the title when they reproduce, and has praised the pair for being a "really genuine" couple.
He said: "The moment Jack and Dani coupled up I thought they would do really, really well. They are the boy and girl version of each other.
"What they have is very rare but it's really genuine and really nice.
"I think they're going to go forward and ... I told them I am going to be the godfather if they do have children."
Alex says Jack was a rock for him in the villa, and has hinted he may have quit the famous abode if he didn't have the 26-year-old pen salesman's support throughout the series.
He said: "I had a real family, they were like brothers and sisters more than anything else, as well as friends.
"Jack was a huge part for me on that show. I probably wouldn't have been there as long as I was without him supporting me. I'm very lucky."
While Alex didn't leave the villa with the love of his life after splitting up with Alexandra Cane just days before the show's finale, TV presenter Christine Lampard has offered to try to set him up with 'Love Island' host Caroline Flack.
Speaking on 'Lorraine', he said: "Caroline's brilliant, she's absolutely lovely. I can't see a future for us together. Sadly I don't think she'll recouple with me, but one can always dream. I'd be too shy [to ask her], I'm too scared."
Christine said: "I'm not, I'll ask her! I'll text her afterwards, 'Caroline...'. "
Alex laughed: "She's brilliant, she's a great host of the show. We had a lot of fun, banter throughout it. She's brilliant."
