The 44-year-old star has opened up on her experiences working with the ITV talent show's new judge - who has recently replaced David Walliams on the panel - while filming for the upcoming new series.

Speaking on 'Capital Breakfast', she said "He likes to grab my arm, he's very expressive and passionate. I've had a few Bruno bruises on the arms. I bruise like a peace.

"My nine-year-old daughter said I should put a fake arm on to prank him, so next time he grabs my arm, he thinks he's pulled my arm off!

"Producers didn't get the memo!"

Alesha compared Bruno - who joins her on the panel with Amanda Holden and boss Cowell - to being "next to an excitable puppy", although she acknowledged how hard it can be coming in as a "newbie".

She added: "It's exhausting... he does not know how to sit still. It's like sitting next to an excitable puppy. I'm not even exaggerating.

"The first day I was like, 'What is happening here?' But, bless him, it's hard coming into a very established, well-oiled unit.

"I was mindful to make him very welcome and he had big sheos to fill and it's never easy being a newbie."

However, Alesha was less forgiving when Bruno broke the rules while filming the talent show.

She explained: "He pressed the golden buzzer about 20 seconds into the act and we're supposed to wait unitl the end. I was furious, because I wanted to press my gold buzzer for the act."

Alesha recently admitted she doesn't ever worry that the UK is "running out of talent" because in each season “people get more inspired” to try out for the ITV1 show.

She said: "Every single year without fail you are seeing something you've never seen before and after doing it for 10 years people ask surely you're running out of talent? absolutely not, if anything it is the opposite, people get more inspired.

"I think after the few years we've had, people are desperate to have the opportunity to be on stage and do what they love and this year the talent is phenomenal."
