The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge quit her role on the judging panel for the BBC One Latin and ballroom show nine years ago.

But, as per the Daily Star newspaper, the former Mis-Teeq star - who won the celebrity dance competition in 2007 - will be back for 'Strictly: The Christmas Countdown' on December 25.

The 42-year-old star has the job of commentating the 75-minute countdown of the highlights of the past 16 years of 'Strictly', along with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the judges and professional dancers.

On how the show transformed her life, she said: "Winning 'Strictly Come Dancing' changed my life.

"It came into my life at a time where I needed a lift, I needed something positive. And it really was the tonic that I needed.

"For about five years 'Strictly Come Dancing' was a huge part of my life. It was just a wonderful experience that I will hold dear to me for the rest of my life."

Former contestants Ed Balls, Ore Oduba, Ashley Roberts and Jake Wood will also make an appearance.

Over the weekend, comedian Bill Bailey and his dance partner Oti Mabuse took home the Glitterball Trophy for this year's series.

Meanwhile, fans of Alesha can also catch her performing a rendition of 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' on the 'Britain's Got Talent' festive special with pianist Tokio Myers, who triumphed on the talent show in 2017, on ITV on Christmas Day from 8pm.

'Strictly: The Christmas Countdown' airs on December 25 at 4.45pm on BBC One.
