Alan Carr is trying to get his husband Paul Drayton the "help he needs" after he started drinking again.
The 45-year-old comedian has revealed his significant other "fell off the wagon" in recent weeks while Alan was away filming in Wales, but the 'Chatty Man' host is working with Paul to help him.
He told The Sun newspaper: "While I was away filming on location the past few weeks, Paul fell off the wagon and started drinking again.
"When I arrived back home from Wales, Paul was covered in scratches and bruises from a drinking binge.
"We are now working together to get the help he needs to get better which is our number one priority right now."
Alan previously admitted the coronavirus lockdown had tempted Paul to start drinking again, but he was "proud" of him for staying sober.
He said: "It's been tough for Paul during lockdown. He's been saying, 'Oh, shall we get a bottle?' and I say, 'No, we're not getting any rose wine in.' He's been so good and I'm so proud of him."
The 'Epic Gameshow' presenter stopped drinking in 2018 in support of his teetotal husband, and he now only has a drink on special occasions.
Alan recently said: "I like eating and drinking, but it was ridiculous before - we were cracking open a bottle of rose because it was a Monday. We were out of control. It was a laugh, but looking at Paul, sometimes the party has to stop.
"I enjoy a drink and I have it on special occasions now, it's a real treat for me."
