Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace refused to take part of BBC's new Amy Winehouse documentary.
The former 'Big Brother' star didn't want to open up about their friendship for 'Reclaiming Amy', which aired last week to mark a decade since the singer's tragic death aged 27.
As quoted by the Daily Star newspaper's Hot TV column, she said: "They asked me to be in it and I said no just because it's still raw. I'm not ready.
"I don't care abut any of that. I care about her. And I wouldn't want to do something that could damage her memory."
The 42-year-old star revealed she's still finding it difficult to come to terms with the 'Rehab' hitmaker's death.
She added: "It still feels like it was just a few months ago. If you lose anyone you love, it's just always raw. I feel like the good ones always go too young.
"I deal with death in my own way. I miss her daily. I loved her then, now, forever."
Aisleyne described her friend as "humble", while suggesting Amy would be "happy" with the way she's still being remembered.
She said: "Amy was such a humble girl. She was never seeking attention. She would be like, 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.
"I think she'd be happy that everyone is still remembering her and loving her."
Meanwhile, Dionne Bromfield - who was just 15 when her godmother died - admitted she spent years blocking out memories of the singer.
Asked about her own upcoming documentary ‘Amy Winehouse & Me: Dionne’s Story’, she explained: “For quite a while, I hadn’t really thought about Amy because I didn’t want to think about that time.
"But as we approached the 10-year anniversary of her death, I felt like I really wanted to offload a lot of built-up emotions and feelings.
“And I also felt like there was a side to Amy that not many people know and I wanted to share it.”
