'X Factor' sensation Abi Alton was attacked by an old lady who hated her singing.
Abi an X Factor wannabe has wowed the judges - Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne - with her remarkable vocal talent, but she admits not everyone has taken to her music in the same positive way.
The shy supermarket assistant once played to a group of senior citizens at an old people's home in Guisborough, Cleveland, but one individual was so angry that Abi's performance prevented her from taking a nap that she threw a cup at the youngster and screeched at her to stop singing.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "This old lady threw a cup at me. I think she wanted to have a nap and didn't like the fact I was there playing the piano.
"She was like: 'Shut up and get out.' I was shocked."
However, the brunette beauty admitted she managed to win back her ex-boyfriend thanks to her emotional self-penned audition song, 'Jigsaw'.
She said previously: "The song is about breaking up with somebody, not really knowing if it's the end when that person has gone -- and how a part of you is missing. It is based on real life.
"I had been going out with my boyfriend for a year but our relationship went through a bit of a rough patch.
"When I sang the song at the arena, I hadn't got back with my boyfriend -- but now I have."
