'X Factor' sensation Abi Alton has won her boyfriend back thanks to her emotional self-penned audition song.
The 18-year-old wannabe wowed the judges - Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne - with a performance of her own tune, 'Jigsaw', and she later admitted the stunning rendition has helped to get her 22-year-old beau back following their break up.
She said: "The song is about breaking up with somebody, not really knowing if it's the end when that person has gone -- and how a part of you is missing. It is based on real life.
"I had been going out with my boyfriend for a year but our relationship went through a bit of a rough patch.
"When I sang the song at the arena, I hadn't got back with my boyfriend -- but now I have.
"I picked it for 'X Factor' as everyone has been through a break-up at one point and I felt the audience could really relate to the song. The crowd loved it. It went down really well."
Abi's song earned her a standing ovation from the 4,000-strong Wembley Arena crowd and the brunette beauty - who impressed the panellists with an impressive version of Dixie Chicks' 'Travelling Soldier' in her first audition - admitted her boyfriend, who she didn't want to name, is a big supporter of her music.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he added: "We just talked, like you do when you have been through a hard time. He was impressed by my song and is a really big supporter of my music, he really does support me.
"He isn't a singer but he understands it, he is quite an artistic person."
