Abbey Clancy's near-exit on 'Strictly Come Dancing' saw her break down in tears.
The 27-year-old model sought comfort from 'Countdown' star Rachel Riley before they went head-to-head in the dance-off last night after viewers failed to save her from the public vote.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Rachel said: "Poor Abbey. We had lots of cuddles. It felt really bad because we're such good friends and she was really upset.
"She hadn't been in the dance-off before. It's a real shock to the system to be in the bottom two.
"There were lots of tears. It was very emotional."
The blonde beauty - who is married to soccer star Peter Crouch - angered fans on Saturday (02.11.13) after she was seen "flirting" with her dance partner Aljaz Skor-Janec.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "I'm sick of Abbey and Aljaz flirting. The last couple who were that touchy feely were Artem & Kara & we know how THAT ended! (sic)".
However, a BBC source said: "They're not in any way an item. Abbey is happily married and Aljaz is dating 'Strictly' dancer Janette Manrara."
The judging panel chose to save Abbey and Aljaz from the boot and opted to send home Rachel and her partner Pasha Kovalev.
