Aaron Chalmers and Lauren Pope have split up.
The 'Geordie Shore' hunk hit the headlines last week after it was claimed he had spat food at the blonde babe following a blazing row during their "nightmare holiday" in Dubai last week but, although he's confirmed they've now gone their separate ways, he's adamant he was never physical towards the former 'The Only Way is Essex' beauty and their split was merely down to timing.
Speaking to the MailOnline, Aaron said: "Lauren posted a picture of herself sitting on my knee in Dubai - that was apparently the night of the argument.
"For one, I wouldn't spit food at anyone because I'm not a tramp, two, I wouldn't waste food - and three, if I spat food at Lauren she would have f***ing knocked us out!
"Anyone that knows me knows I would never do that. I wouldn't embarrass myself doing that in a nice restaurant, I wouldn't embarrass Lauren - I just wouldn't do it!"
Aaron felt he had no choice but to call off his relationship with the 34-year-old businesswoman because he has to film 'Geordie Shore' - an MTV show that sees the cast bed numerous people while under the influence of alcohol - in Newcastle next week.
He said: "I've going to go film 'Geordie Shore' next week, she's focusing on her business - we're both concentrating making a career for the future, so we just had to leave it.
"We still speak and we're good friends, at this moment in time it's not the right time. It wasn't fair to Lauren; I'm going filming, I'm training for a fight in May, I would never have seen her."
However, their romance was destined to fail from the word go as Lauren - who lives in Devon - recently admitted that she was struggling to deal with the long distance.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I won't be down here in Devon forever, I will be back in London next year. But at the moment, I think you've got to be quite selfish in life and with work being stressful enough as it is, I don't want to have that guilt of having to see people that you can't and then feeling bad about it. So I just felt it was better to end it on good terms."
