Cynthia Dixon in World Without End
Game Of Thrones could have a rival soon in the shape of World Without End, the latest big budget historical drama adaptation coming from Channel 4 early next year.
Based off of Ken Follett's bestselling novel, the drama has an all star cast including Cynthia Nixon, Peter Firth, Ben Chaplin and Miranda Richardson, the new series will act as the follow up to The Pillars Of The Earth that aired last year on the channel.
Set two hundred years after the critically acclaimed Pillars Of The Earth, this new drama will be jam packed with intriugue, betrayal, battles and law-defying love and will see a young woman played by Charlotte Riley taking on both Church and Crown to save her community from ruin and give both herself and those around her a brighter future.
Directed by Michael Caton-Jones, filming for the drama took place in Hungary, Slovakia and Austria and is set to take over Channel 4 in early 2013.
