Michael J Fox will triumphantly be returning to the small screen as the star of new comedy show coming next autumn.

The untitled show will be airing on the NBC network in America after they won out in a bidding war over the show. No plans have been made yet as to when the show will air in the UK.

The show will star Fox is a semi-autobiographical role, as he will play a father struggling to cope with Parkinson’s disease.

The Back To The Future star has always tried to work around his affliction, having made guest spots on comedy shows Scrubs, Curb Your Enthusiasm (which earned him an Emmy nomination this year) and drama The Good Wife, despite having declared himself semi-retired back in 2000.
