Matt Smith has come out saying that he doesn’t think that there’s going to be female Doctor Who.
In an interview with American website The Mary Sue, the Doctor Who star spoke about the possibility of a female Doctor, something that has never happened on TV (and only once in a non-canonical radio play when Arabella Weir took up the mantle).
When asked who he’d like to take the role he said “I think there are many actresses that could play it because there are so many wonderful actresses.”
When pushed, he plumped for Prometheus star Chalize Theron saying “Charlize Theron is pretty kick ass, isn’t she?”
Despite thinking that it was “an interesting idea” he also said that he can’t “see that happening any time soon to be honest. I don’t think it will happen.”
