Jessie Wallace won Best Actress at the Awards
Eastenders was once again the big winner at the Inside Soap Awards after scooping five awards, including Best Soap.
Jessie Wallace, who's had an eventful and traumatic year as Albert Square's much-loved Kat Moon, was named Best Actress at the star studded ceremony held in London. The show also scooped Best Young Actor for Maisie Smith as the adorable Tiffany Butcher, while Tameka Empson won Funniest Performance for her hilarious portrayal of Kim Fox. Inside Soap readers also voted Tamwar Masood and Afia Khan's Walford ceremony as Best Weddding.
Sexiest Male went to Hollyoaks hunk Danny Mac (Dodger Savage), while Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan beat off stiff competition and was crowned Sexiest Female for the third consecutive year.
Emmerdale's Danny Miller celebrated winning two Awards for the second year running - Best Actor for his role as Aaron Livesy and Best Dramatic Performance for the assisted suicide scenes involving Aaron's boyfriend, Jackson Walsh.
The Best Newcomer Award this year was given to Hollyoaks; Emmett J Scanlan for his role as Brendan Brady. Meanwhile, Bill Tarmey's emotional farewell to Coronation Street as Jack Duckworth was named Best Exit, with the soap also winning the Outstanding Achievement Award for the dramatic tram crash and live episode.
Home and Away was named Best Daytime Soap and Neighbours star Ryan Moloney was awarded Best Daytime Star for the second year running. Best Drama went to Waterloo Road, also for the second year in succession.
Inside Soap magazine's editor, Steven Murphy, comments: "Huge congratulations to all of this year's winners, who throughly deserve their Awards. It's been a fantastic year for British soaps, and I look forward to another exciting and dramatic 12 monthas ahead."
