Carrie Fisher's one-woman play Wishful Drinking is coming to TV - the show is to be transformed into a feature-length documentary.
The Star Wars actress launched the production, based on her autobiographical book about her coming of age in Hollywood, on the New York stage in October (09).
The Broadway show closed in January (10), but garnered critical acclaim, taking one of the top honours at the Outer Critics Circle Awards last month (May10).
Now Fisher is preparing to bring her life story to TV audiences - she's teamed up with U.S. TV channel HBO to make a documentary.
The TV film will include scenes from her stage show, as well as interviews with her friends and family to document her career and her struggles with substance abuse, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
