BBC One has announced its Christmas line up of TV this morning, with specials of Miranda, Call The Midwife and The Royle Family all set for their holiday schedules.
David Attenborough’s latest seires Africa will also be a highlight of the BBC’s winter selections, alongside Victoria Wood’s new drama Loving Miss Hatto and spy thriller Restless.
With a special edition of Top Of The Pops, Mrs Brown’s Boys and David Walliam’s adaptation of his book Mr Stink starring Hugh Bonneville also confirmed, the BBC’s premier channel doesn’t appear to be holding anything back.
The period will also see the final episode of fantasy drama Merlin hitting the airwaves, after the show’s producers confirmed that the show would be finishing off after the end of its current series.
This latest batch of confirmation joins the always hotly anticipated Doctor Who and Strictly Come Dancing Christmas specials and provides a formidable array of telly for the festive season.
