Can you believe it’s nearly March already? Well Netflix can and they’ve got a full month of shows to release whether that’s brand new seasons of established shows or something complete different we can all get our teeth into.
The wait is finally over as Season 2 of Bridgerton is going to be available on the streaming platform this month, as well as the highly-anticipated new episodes of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
If that wasn’t enough, a new thriller series is dropping at the very beginning of March and a spin-off show to Big Mouth is upon us, featuring all of your favourite monsters.
Take a look at what to add to the binge-list this month:
Pieces of Her (Season 1) - Released March 4th, 2022
Netflix kicks off the month with a brand-new original series in the form of Pieces of Her, which is based on the 2018 novel of the same name written by Karin Slaughter.
It follows the story of a woman who gets caught up in a mass shooting at a diner but then witnesses her mother deal with the shooter without any great difficulty.
This then leads her down a path of uncovering her mother’s past, something she buried a long time ago.
It’s an eight-part season and by the looks of it each episode promises to be captivating at every turn.
The Last Kingdom (Season 5, Final Season) - Released March 9th, 2022
After almost two years, The Last Kingdom is back on our screens for its fifth and unfortunately final season.
The show, based on The Saxon Stories series of novels written by Bernard Cornwell, is coming to an end, but the writers have plenty of source material to draw on as the author wrote a further five books to the initial eight.
But fans shouldn’t get upset just yet; a feature-length episode is tipped to be released named Seven Kings Must Die.
Viewers may finally get to find out Uhtred’s fate in this finale season.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Season 4) - Released March 10th, 2022
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an F1 fan or not – you are definitely going to want to watch this.
This hit TV documentary series is back and follows the dramatic events of last year’s Formula 1 season which came to a very climactic end.
This show has turned even the most anti-sport people into F1 nuts who now can’t get enough of the sport – it’s responsible for a whole new wave of fans who otherwise wouldn’t have been interested in cars going around a track.
It’ll live up to the hype for sure.
Human Resources (Season 1) - Released March 18th, 2022
A spin-off to Netflix’s animated (but most definitely not safe for kids) show Big Mouth is dropping this month – Human Resources.
It was announced back in January that the streaming service were planning on releasing a spin-off, but Big Mouth fans were bound to wonder if their favourite characters would be featuring.
However, fear not – Maurice and Connie will be a big part of Human Resources, along with other beings which support the humans through different stages of their lives including Emmy and Rochelle the Lovebugs and Tito the Anxiety Mosquito.
Fans just won’t get to see the likes of Andrew, Nick and Jessi – the humans aren’t moving over to this spin-off, so you’ll just have to wait until season six comes out in October to get your Big Mouth fix.
Top Boy (Season 4) - Released March 18th, 2022
The wait is almost over after three long years, but Top Boy is back which will see Ashley Walters and Kano reprise their roles from season one.
The show highlights life on housing estates where crime is just around the corner and it’s very hard to escape the drug dealing that is practically institutionalised.
Without giving out too many spoilers in case this has piqued your fancy and you plan on binge watching season one before March 18, Walters’ character might find himself in a lot of hot water after his prison visit at the end of the last series.
Is it Cake? (Season 1) – Released March 18th, 2022
Originating from a TikTok and then a meme comes the brand-new show – Is it Cake?
How annoying is it when you just want to use the remote to change the TV channel, or type something on your keyboard, but it turns out to be, well, cake – and now you get the jist of the meme.
In this competition-based show, skilled bakers and cake artists will compete against each other to make the best cake which doesn’t look like a cake at all until it’s been cut into.
Ranging from a sewing machine to a timer, a handbag and many more, this show is bound to make you second guess, is it cake?
Brigerton (Season 2) - Released March 25th, 2022
The highly-popular series Bridgerton is back, and although fans can’t wait to get binge-watching, they could be very disappointed when they don’t see their favourite character on screen.
Regé-Jean Page, who played the character of Simon, the Duke of Hastings, was a big hit in the first season but he will not be featuring in the second series.
However, if the first season is anything to go by, the Shonda Rhimes show will still be well worth watching, and it’s due to heavily focus on Lord Anthony Bridgerton this time around and there’s still plenty of scope for more seasons after this one given there are eight books which the show is based around.
It looks like Bridgerton will be sticking around for a lot longer.
