Real-life stories of the 1980s drug kingpins are chronicled as law enforcement comes together to meet them head-to-head in brutal, bloody conflicts that combine legal, political, police, military and civilian forces.
Creator and executive producer Jose Padilha is re-partnered on the show with Brazilian actor Wanger Moura as the captivating Pablo Escobar.
Joining him on the cast are Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as the real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena respectively.
Columbia's Juan Pablo Raba, British start Joanna Christie, Mexican sensation Stephanie Sigman, Colombian actor Manolo Cardona and Brazil's renowned Andre Mattos will all also star, as well as Luis Guzman and Ana de la Reguera.
Executive producers of the series come in the form of Eric Newman and Chris Brancato, with Gaumont Television producing for Netflix.
